The conference aims at presenting advances in mountain forest research in the broad context of sustainable management of mountain areas as well as highlighting and discussing the role of academic education for sustainable resource management.

The outcome will help us to integrate new ideas and results in our curricula and also serve as a contribution to stimulate collaborative action on mountain forest research and education in the context of the Mountain Partnership.
